All ballot papers placed in incorrect ballot boxes (missorts) at early voting centres will be reviewed and included at the fresh scrutiny. Counting will commence at 9:30 am in Darwin and 10:00 am in Alice Springs on Monday 25 August.
Single vacancy elections will continue to be manually counted on Monday, along with batching of ballot papers for multi vacancy elections, with ballot papers entered and verified through electronic count software, EasyCount from Tuesday.

Still to be counted are 2,596 returned postal votes, absent votes yet to be exchanged and declaration votes which may be admitted to the count following review by the Australian Electoral Commission.
6,548 postal votes were issued and there remains 3,952 to be returned to the NT Electoral Commission by 12 noon, Friday 5 September.
