Postal vote applications now open - 2025 Local Government Elections

Applications for postal voting opened today and will close at 6.00pm on Thursday 21 August, overseas applications close 6.00pm on Tuesday 19 August.

NT Electoral Deputy Commissioner Anna Malgorzewicz is encouraging Territorians to consider applying for a postal vote for the 2025 Local Government Elections.

'Whether you are travelling, living or working remotely, or simply prefer to vote by post, now is the time to submit your application,' Ms Malgorzewicz said.

'Postal voting is a convenient and accessible option for many Territorians.'

Voting for the 2025 Local Government Elections will commence on Monday 11 August 2025, with election day on Saturday 23 August 2025.

Voting in the 2025 Local Government Elections is compulsory.
