The Northern Territory Electoral Commission advises that no nominations were received for the Victoria Daly Regional Council Milngin Ward by-election when nominations closed at 12 noon today.
In accordance with Regulation 73 of the Local Government (Electoral) Regulations 2008, a new date will be fixed for the election to fill the vacancy.
The electoral roll prepared for this election will be used for the new election.
No voting will be required at this stage.
The Northern Territory Electoral Commission will announce the new election timetable once it has been determined.
