The Northern Territory Electoral Commission advises that no nominations were received when nominations closed at 12 noon on Friday 21 August 2026 for the Victoria Daly Regional Council Milngin Ward by-election.

In accordance with Regulation 73 of the Local Government (Electoral) Regulations 2008, a new date will be fixed for the election to fill the vacancy.

The electoral roll prepared for this election will be used for the new election.

No voting will be required at this stage.

The new election timetable will be announced once it has been determined.
