Remote engagement

The Remote Community Engagement Program is an initiative by the NT Electoral Commission (NTEC) aimed at raising awareness of the 2024 Territory Election in remote communities across the NT.

What we will do

  • Inform remote communities: Our teams will travel across the Territory to talk about the 2024 Territory Election directly with people in remote communities.
  • Prepare remote communities to vote: We will assist people in updating their enrolments or enrolling for the first time, ensuring everyone is ready to cast their formal vote. We'll provide details on where, when, and how to vote.
  • Collaborate with communities: We want to talk with local groups and people in remote communities to find the best ways to tell everyone about the election.

How you can help

You can join us in spreading the word about the 2024 Territory Election and the Remote Community Engagement program.

Here's how:

  • Share our downloadable resources like posters, social media posts, videos, and flyers from our remote community stakeholder pack.
  • Organise meetings in your area to discuss the election and its significance.
  • Talk to your friends, family, and community about the election and encourage them to participate.

Our teams will be visiting approx. 70 different remote communities to meet with you and share information.

Our remote schedule for the upcoming weeks:

  • Haasts Bluff: 24 June
