Counting in the 2020 Territory Election has finished for today.
The updated results are available on the NTEC website.
The re-check of all divisions has now been completed in both Darwin and Alice Springs.
There will be no counting at the Darwin or Alice Springs Scrutiny Centres tomorrow.
Both counting teams will be preparing for a count of fresh ballots on Friday.
When counting resumes in Darwin and Alice Springs, votes being counted will include absentee votes, including COVID-19 quarantine centre votes, and returned postal votes that have arrived this week.
The NTEC has also received more than 2000 declaration votes which are currently being processed by the Australian Electoral Commission. Eligible declaration votes will be added to the count next week.
The attached table shows the number of declaration votes that potentially may be added to the count per electorate and the number of postal votes in each division that are to be counted and are still to be returned.
It should be noted that based on historical trends a number of postal votes will not be returned.
In the 2016 election only 65 per cent of all postal votes sent out were admitted to the count.
