Voting for the NT Legislative Assembly Division of Johnston by-election closed at 6pm today.
The preliminary result for the primary vote count has been completed and posted on the NTEC website.
A recheck of the election night count and a further small count (postal votes and declaration votes) will take place during the coming week with results updated on the website.
The deadline for receipt of postal ballot papers is 12pm (noon) Friday 13 March 2020.
Further details will be provided regarding the timing of the distribution of preferences and declaration of the election result.
