Counting to resume in 2021 Local Government Elections

Counting in the 2021 Local Government Elections will resume in both Darwin and Alice Springs count centres tomorrow, Monday 30 August.

In Darwin returned postal votes will be counted in the Litchfield Shire and Katherine Town Council elections first.

A re-check of the first preference count conducted on Saturday night will follow.

In Alice Springs postal votes for the Alice Springs Town Council will be held first, and will also be followed by a re-check of Saturday night's first preference count. Counting at both centres will start at 9am.
