Early voting centres for the Daly by-election are now open.
Voting centres are open at Coolalinga Central Shopping Centre and the NTEC office on level 3 of the TCG Centre in Mitchell Street Darwin from 8am to 5pm daily this week, and Monday to Thursday next week and then on Friday 10 September until 6pm.
A third early voting centre will be open at the Berry Springs Shopping Village from Monday 6 September to Thursday 9 September from 8am to 5pm and then Friday 10 September from 8am to 6pm.
Early voting centres will not be open on the weekend of 4 and 5 September.
Remote mobile voting starts tomorrow with teams visiting Belyuen from 10:15am to 1:15pm and Sandpalms Roadhouse from 3:15 to 4:15pm.
The full remote voting schedule can be found on the NTEC website here. NT Electoral Commissioner reminded Daly electors that voting in the by-election is compulsory.
"Although we have just finished the voting in the local government elections, electors in the seat of Daly will need to vote again," Mr Loganathan said.
"Some of the electors in Daly who live in unicorporated areas like Dundee Beach didn't have to vote in the local government elections but they certainly need to vote in the by-election."
