Arafura by-election: Voting commenced

Voting has commenced for the Arafura by-election.

The NT Electoral Commission’s mobile voting team is travelling to Arafura communities to conduct voting services from Monday 6 March to Saturday 18 March.

Postal vote applications remain open for electors that are unable to vote at an
in-person location. Applications close on the following times:

• Overseas postal vote applications - Tuesday 14 March, 6.00pm
• Local postal vote applications - Thursday 16 March, 6.00pm

The NT Electoral Commissioner, Iain Loganathan is reminding electors to make sure their vote counts in the Arafura by-election.

“The mobile voting team will be visiting 22 Arafura communities within two weeks to ensure all Arafura electors have a say on who represents the Arafura division at the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly” said Mr Loganathan.

Voting in Arafura by-election is compulsory.
