Barkly Regional Council, Patta Ward by-election: Declaration of result

Under the proportional representation voting system the quota of votes required for this election was 223. Elliot McAdam exceeded the quota on first preference votes with 226 votes.

The surplus votes (those in excess of the quota) of Elliot McAdam were than distributed at a relevant transfer value as prescribed under schedule 1 of the Local Government (Electoral) Regulations.

Following the distribution of preferences the following candidates will be duly elected.

• Elliot McAdam received the quota at count 1
• Sharen Lake received the quota at count 9
