Barkly Regional Council, Patta Ward by-election: Voting commenced

Voting has commenced for the Barkly Regional Council, Patta Ward by-election.

The NT Electoral Commission’s mobile voting team is travelling to Patta Ward communities to conduct voting services from today until Saturday 6 May.

Postal vote applications remain open for electors that are unable to vote at an
in-person location. Applications close on the following times:

International applications close on Tuesday 2 May at 6pm.

Local applications close Thursday 4 May at 6pm.

The NT Electoral Commissioner, Iain Loganathan is reminding electors to make sure their vote counts in the Arafura by-election.

“The mobile voting team will be visiting Patta Wards communities from Saturday 29 April to ensure all Patta Ward electors have a say on who represents their ward within the Barkly Regional Council” said Mr Loganathan.

Voting in Patta Ward by-election is compulsory.
