Today a fresh scrutiny was completed of all votes counted on Saturday 2 September.
The fresh scrutiny process involved a review of all ballot papers counted on Saturday night to identify any count errors. Following the review there have been minor changes to first preference count results which have now been published on the NT Electoral Commission website.
The results following the fresh scrutiny are as follows (in ballot paper order):
All early, election day, returned postal votes and hospital urban mobile votes have been counted again.
There are 524 outstanding postal votes to be returned to the NT Electoral Commission over the next 11 days, in addition to 29 declaration votes which may be admitted to the count.
Declaration votes will be counted on Friday 8 September and the final postal count will occur from 12 noon on Friday 15 September. The distribution of preferences will take place after the final postal count, culminating in a final result.
The official declaration of the result for the City of Darwin, Lyons Ward by-election will occur on Monday 18 September at the City of Darwin Council.
