Counting for the 2025 Barkly Regional Council general election concluded today.
89 postal votes returned to the Electoral Commission before 12.00noon today were included in the count with the initial results for these counts published on the NTEC website.
12 declaration and early votes were also included in the postal count to maintain the secrecy of the vote. Following the initial count all ballot papers were data entered and verified through easy count.
The distribution of preferences for elections where required took place from 3.00pm.
The results for the mayoral and councillor elections are now available on the NTEC website.
The declaration of the election results for the 2024 Barkly Regional Council general election will take place at 10am on Monday 18 November at the NT Electoral Commission office in Darwin.

1,420 votes were counted in the 2024 Barkly Regional Council general election for mayoral election from 4,503 eligible enrolled electors representing a voter turnout rate of 31.5%.
