2024 Territory Election: Counting continues

Today all check counts have been completed for ballot papers counted on Saturday night and Sunday in Darwin and Alice Springs scrutiny centres.

The counting of absent votes commenced today and will continue for the remainder of the week.

There are around 12,450 absent votes to be counted across all Divisions.

3,863 postal votes are yet to be returned and must be received by the NT Electoral Commission by 12 noon on Friday 6 September 2024.

1,960 declaration votes have been received, scanned, and sent to the Australian Electoral Commission to undertake an enrolment assessment. Declaration votes admitted to the count will be counted next week.
