Early voting continues for the 2024 Territory Election, with over 26,600 Territorians voting early so far this week.
10 early voting locations are open across the Territory with voting options available in all regional and some rural centres. Early voting will be available this Saturday from 8.00am to 3.00pm, with 2 additional early voting centres available at Parap Primary School and Berry Springs Shopping Village. Remote mobile voting is well underway with the voting teams visiting 71 locations across the Territory this week.
NT Electoral Commissioner Kirsten Kelly stated that early voting and remote mobile voting services will continue next week in the lead-up to election day. "Territorians who have not yet voted are encouraged to plan where to vote and cast their vote. The NTEC's 'Find My Closest Voting Centre' tool is available on our website to help voters locate their nearest voting service, including remote voting services."
Next week, remote mobile teams will be visiting some of the larger remote communities, including Maningrida, Galiwin'ku, and Wadeye, where they will provide up to four days of voting services.
The first postal vote mail was sent on Monday 12 August votes with 6271 postal votes dispatched. Postal votes remain open and voters wanting to apply for a postal vote are encouraged to do so to ensure they receive their postal application before election day.
