Early voting in the 2024 Territory Election started today and will be available over the next two weeks in the lead up to election day on 24 August 2024.
Early voting centres are located in Darwin City, Casuarina, Palmerston, Coolalinga, Berry Springs, Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.
16 remote voting teams will visit 172 remote locations across the Territory over the mobile voting period with up to four days of voting available in the larger remote communities of Maningrida, Wadeye and Galiwin’ku.
Remote mobile teams will leave Darwin and Alice Springs and will travel by four-wheel-drive vehicles and aircraft to provide voting services Territory's most remote areas.
NT Territory Electoral Commissioner Kirsten Kelly said that approximately 45,000 or 29% of Territory voters are enrolled in the 7 remote divisions.
"We want to ensure every Territorian has the opportunity to vote," Ms Kelly said.
“Voters are able to cast a vote at any voting centre even if they are away from their community, if you see a voting team, go and vote, if you are not sure if you enrolled to vote, see the voting team who can help you.”
Interstate early voting centres are located in all capital cities with weekday voting services available from Wednesday 14 August to Friday 23 August.

With approximately 153,476 people enrolled to vote in the Northern Territory, the NT has an enrolment rate of 93.6%.
The final day to vote in the 2024 Territory Election is Saturday 24 August.
