East Arnhem Regional Council, Birr Rawarrang Ward and Gumurr Marthakal Ward by-elections: Declaration of nominations

The NT Electoral Commission has today declared candidates for the East Arnhem Regional Council, Birr Rawarrang Ward and Gumurr Marthakal Ward by-elections

At 1 pm today candidate positions on the ballot paper were randomly drawn at the NT Electoral Commission office in Darwin.

There is one vacancy for position of councillor in the Birr Rawarrang Ward by-election and three candidates have been declared.

Candidates for the Birr Rawarrang Ward by-election, in ballot paper order are as follows:

• Gadiki GAWINYGAWINY
• David WARRAYA
• Gerald YAWULKPUY

There is one vacancy for position of councillor in the Gumurr Marthakal Ward by-election and three candidates have been declared.

Candidates for the Gumurr Marthakal Ward by-election, in ballot paper order are as follows:

• Bobby NYIKAMULA
• Danny DANGADANGA
• Stephen Malwarriwuy DHAMARRANDJI

Early voting for East Arnhem Regional Council, Birr Rawarrang Ward and Gumurr Marthakal Ward by-elections will commence Monday 26 February 2024.
