Kirsten Kelly appointed as NT Electoral Commissioner

Today, Kirsten Kelly was sworn in by the Administrator of the Northern Territory as the incoming Electoral Commissioner for the Northern Territory.

Kirsten Kelly brings with her a wealth of experience, having served as the Deputy Electoral Commissioner for the past three years.

Iain Loganathan concludes his second five year term as the NT Electoral Commissioner on Thursday 25 April 2024. Independent officers in the NT are limited to serving two terms.

“It has been an honour to serve as the NT Electoral Commissioner and I take great pride in the work the NTEC has accomplished in modernising electoral services and ensuring the integrity and transparency of elections across the Territory” said Iain Loganathan.

“I am pleased Kirsten Kelly has been appointment as the next Electoral Commissioner. Her dedication and expertise make her exceptionally qualified for this role, and I have confidence in her ability to lead the NTEC forward."
