West Daly Regional Council, Thamarrurr/Pindi Pindi Ward supplementary by-election: Declaration of result

The Northern Territory Electoral Commission has officially declared the result for the supplementary by-election for the Thamarrurr/Pindi Pindi Ward of the West Daly Regional Council.

The initial resignation for one councillor position was received on 25 January 2024. Nominations for this by-election closed on Friday 8 March and no nominations were received resulting in a failed by-election.

Consequently, a supplementary by-election was conducted with nominations closing on Friday 5 April 2024. One nomination was received. As the number of nominations was equal to the number of vacancies, the candidate Peter CUMAIYI was declared duly elected.
