Cancellation of Mobile Voting Services - 2025 Local Government Supplementary Elections

The Northern Territory Electoral Commission (NTEC) advises that due to current weather conditions associated with Tropical Cyclone Fina, the following remote voting services scheduled for this week in the West Arnhem Regional Council Gunbalanya and Kakadu Wards have been cancelled.

West Arnhem Regional Council

Kakadu National Park HQ - CANCELLED
Scheduled: 21 November, 11:30am – 12:30pm

Mudginberri - CANCELLED
Scheduled: 21 November, 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Jabiru - CANCELLED
Scheduled: 22 November, 8:00am – 3:00pm

The NTEC will monitor the current weather conditions and the advice of government authorities whilst working with the West Arnhem Regional Council to ensure safe and accessible voting services can resume as soon as practicable.

A revised schedule will be published and communicated early next week once more information is available  (week commencing 24 November 2025).

At this stage, there are no changes to the current voting services for the Litchfield Council, North Ward scheduled for next week.

Early voting services will continue to be provided for all councils participating in the supplementary elections through the NT Electoral Commission office in Darwin.
