2026 Barkly Regional Council Kuwarrangu Ward Supplementary By-election - Candidate nominations now open
In accordance with Regulation 6(2) Local Government (Electoral) Regulations 2021, a public notice is provided.
A supplementary by-election is being held to fill a casual vacancy in the Barkly Regional Council Kuwarrangu Ward (one vacancy for Councillor).
Nominations
Nominations are now open. Completed candidate nomination forms must be received by NTEC by 12pm Thursday 6 August. Late nominations cannot be accepted.

The Electoral Commissioner is the returning officer for the 2026 Barkly Regional Council Kuwarrangu Ward supplementary by-election.
