People who are enrolled in the Barkly Regional Council area must vote.

If you are unsure if you are enrolled in the Barkly Regional Council area, search your enrolled address using our find my electorate tool or check your enrolled address on the Australian Electoral Commission website.

Early voting centres are located at the Civic Hall Tennant Creek and the Northern Territory Electoral Commission office in Darwin.

Election day voting is at the Tennant Creek Civic Hall on Saturday 2 November from 8am to 6pm.

If you are unable to vote at a voting centre you can apply for a postal vote.

What is the deadline for applying for a postal vote?

The deadline for applying for a postal vote is as follows:

  • Overseas postal vote applications - Tuesday 29 October
  • Local postal vote applications - Thursday 31 October

When will the postal vote be sent to me?

Your postal vote will be sent from Monday 14 October.

When do I complete my postal vote?

You must complete your postal vote ballot paper before 6:00 pm on Saturday 2 November

Post your ballot paper, using the reply paid envelope, to the NT Electoral Commission.

You can also hand-deliver the envelope to:

  • an electoral official at any voting centre during opening hours
  • the NT Electoral Commission office.
  •  

Your postal vote must be received by 12 noon Friday 15 November
