2025 Local Government Supplementary Elections: Early voting commences

Early voting and remote mobile voting services for the 2025 Local Government Supplementary Elections have commenced.

Voters in the following Council wards are required to vote in the Supplementary Elections:

• Litchfield Council – North Ward
• West Arnhem Regional Council – Gunbalanya and Kakadu Wards

Remote mobile voting services

Mobile voting for the West Arnhem Regional Council Gunbalanya and Kakadu Wards begins today.

Mobile teams will be visiting the following communities:

• Tuesday 18 November – Gunbalanya (8:30am–3:30pm)
• Wednesday 19 November – Gunbalanya (8:30am–3:00pm)
• Friday 21 November – Kakadu National Park HQ (11:30am–12:30pm)
• Friday 21 November – Mudginberri (3:00pm–4:00pm)
• Saturday 22 November – Jabiru (8:00am–3:00pm)

Early voting services

Early voting services will be available until Friday 28 November. Early voting centres will issue votes for all Council Wards.

Darwin Early Voting Centre – Level 3, TCG Centre, 80 Mitchell Street

• Monday 17 to Friday 21 November: 8:00am–5:00pm
• Monday 24 to Thursday 27 November: 8:00am–5:00pm
• Friday 28 November: 8:00am–6:00pm

Howard Springs Early Voting Centre – 310 Whitewood Road, Howard Springs

• Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 November: 8:00am–5:00pm
• Friday 28 November: 8:00am–6:00pm

Election Day voting services

Howard Springs Election Day Voting Centre – 310 Whitewood Road, Howard Springs

• Saturday 29 November: 8:00am–6:00pm

Postal votes

If you wish to vote by post, postal vote applications are still open and voters should apply now to ensure they receive their postal vote in time. Read about applying for a postal vote.

Postal vote applications close 6pm Thursday 27 November.

All postal votes need to be returned by 12noon Friday 12 December.
