Check and update enrolment

It is compulsory to vote in all elections in the Northern Territory.

A by-election has been called for the division of Nightcliff.

Eligible electors in the division of Nightcliff must be correctly enrolled to vote before the close of roll for the election.

The close of roll for the 2026 Nightcliff By-election is 5pm Friday 13 February 2026.

The Australian Electoral Commission maintains the Northern Territory Electoral Roll.

You can enrol or update your enrolment via the following:

• Enrol online (enrol for the first time or get back on the roll)
• Update my enrolment online (if you have moved house, changed your name or want to update your contact details)
• Print an enrolment form
• Receive an enrolment form:
  • visit the NT Electoral Commission Darwin office or contact us
  • visit any regional council office.
