Today is the last day that Territorians can early vote in the 2025 Local Government Elections.

The Northern Territory Electoral Commission (NTEC) has today declared the candidates for the 2025 Local Government Elections and draw for ballot paper order.

Nominations for the 2025 Local Government Elections closed on Thursday 31 July 2025 at 12:00 pm. Late nominations cannot be accepted.

The countdown to voting in the 2025 Local Government Elections continues, with nominations for council positions officially open from today.

Applications for postal voting opened today and will close at 6.00pm on Thursday 21 August, overseas applications close 6.00pm on Tuesday 19 August.
