The 2023/2024 Annual Returns have been published on the NTEC website.

Separate to election returns, registered political parties and associated entities must submit annual returns disclosing the amounts received and spent over the financial year as well as any outstanding debts. Returns disclosing gifts received in the financial year of 2023/2024 were published on 9 August 2024.

The Barkly Regional Council general election has been announced.

The Groote Archipelago Regional Council election has been announced, with 7 councillor vacancies to be filled.

Candidate nominations are now open and will close at 12 noon on Thursday 3 October, no late nominations will be accepted.

The distribution of preferences for divisions with more than two candidates was completed last night, marking the conclusion of counting for the 2024 Territory Election.

The NT Electoral Commission has today completed a number of counts including recounts for the divisions of Barkly, Casuarina and Fannie Bay where the margins were less than 100. All results have been updated on the NTEC website.

The declaration of the election results for the 2024 Territory election will take place at 10am on Monday 9 September 2024.

Today all check counts have been completed for ballot papers counted on Saturday night and Sunday in Darwin and Alice Springs scrutiny centres.

Today, over 3,643 returned postal votes were counted, in addition to remaining early votes carried over from election night.

The election gift return (prior to election day) covering the period 2 August to 19 August 2024 were due on 21 August 2024.

Today is the last day Territorians can vote in the 2024 Territory Election.
