Eligible political parties can apply for registration in the Northern Territory.

The Commission is not able to make a determination on an application to register a political party before a general election if the application was received by the Commission during 6 months before the date of the election. As such, applications to register a political party in the Northern Territory received after 24 February 2024 will not be decided before the 2024 Territory election.
